I’ve Got a Feeling

There is a new Tales of WoW up, this one has a guest writer, Christopher Morris. This one is called Escape from the Brown Bowler. Funny, and also psychedelic.
Karma
We buried my cat Karma in the back yard to day, and made a nice little grave for her, the kids helped, and I think it helped them, and myself. I will take a pic and post soon. I also reread the Ben Byrd story Duty, which also helped.
A little bit about Karma. She is the daughter of Kismit. Kismit was a stray who came to me and my wife, in our first apartment, she ran in, and stayed, and never left. When we moved to our first home, she came with us. Kismit was a nice cat, fairly even tempered, but not overtly friendly. Kismit got pregnant after we moved and had 4 children, 2 boys and 2 girls. The wife and I kept one boy and girl (Maceo and Karma), and gave the other two to relatives (Princess and Manan-McClear). Kismit and Maceo were both killed a number of years ago, in the the same year getting hit by cars, right in front of the house (we lived on a busy street). Maceo, though a tough, hard nosed bruiser was friendly, and even fetch. He died shortly after my son was born.
Karma, perhaps the perfect cat, of all the cats I have ever been involved with. For those in the know, she was much like Fritz, gentle, patient, very even tempered, and loved people, loved attention, loved to cuddle, and loved to be with the family. We would go out into the yard, she would be right there, playing ball, running around the yard, etc. She was also a bit of a chicken, death afraid of the neighbors cat, who was half her size.
You will be missed Karma, good kitty, keep the afterlife happy, see you on the other side.
You are listening too . .
I’ve got a Feeling. Interesting song, that is a Lennon/McCartney recording, that had fairly even imput by both of them, strange for the time. The song is actually two songs melded together (ala Day in the Life). The main song is McCartney’s I’ve got a Feeling with I’ve had a Hard Year, and Lennon song fused into it. Additionally the main guitar rift comes from an unfinished Lennon song called Watching Rainbows.
McCartney’s part of the song is written for Linda Eastman, who he soon married; Lennon’s part is very autobiographical, the past year saw his divorce, estrangement from his son Julian, a Yoko Ono miscarriage, a arrest on drug charges, perhaps Heroin dependency, and dwindling finances as well as the desintegrating band relationship.
The song musically is fairly unique with a slow melodic blues tone set to it; something the Beatles never really employed. The song overall for a Beatles song, is fairly mediocre, especially considering it melding several songs. Also notable is the use of the term “wet dream” which for the time, and for the band is pushing some boundaries.
The Mood of Red Sox Nation.
Man, what do we have to do to get the offense clicking consistently?
Congrats Philedelphia Phillies

Was Karma a outdoor cat?
I hope she wunt poisond or anything.
Her death souns mysterios.
I hope the little Mercilesses took the death well. The death of the first is the hardest, but it never gets easy.
It’s all part of the Phillies plan — get you overconfident thinking they suck an then, BAM! (10) straight World Series!
Malach,
Your cat would have been a most honorable adversary. I hope that other cats are as worthy of the challenge.
We thought of poisoning, but I cannot think of anyone in my small dead end neighborhood who would, there are several cats in the neighborhood too, and while outdoor cat, I have a large piece of property, and she never really went beyond the borders.
wow an accident, tell you what, I personally feel sad when a christian person dies because is normal (and is part of life process)and dying is the only step to jump to eternal life, but when a person that is not christian dies is more sad for me at that moment.
Hey, the story was there, and I went for the bad joke . . . would of done the same for any other religious festival that occured at.
it was just my opinion, I knew you were joking, don’t worry.
