The Revolution will not be Televised

There is a new 8 1/2 by Eleven up for youse guys, number 566, with a little romantic intrigue. By the way, thanks to those who loved my Softball pitching primer, it just cleared 1000 views on YouTube, and yes, we are going to make some more in depth ones on individual pitches.
You are listening too . . .
Thanks to Mike for the idea. Big time protest song from Gil Scott-Heron, The Revolution will not be Televised. An African-American Poet and Musician who made his mark in the 60’s and 70’s. He is associated with the Black Militant Movements of the time, and is perhaps most famous for this song. He is also considered one of the major founding fathers of rap and was especially influential on Public Enemy, and much of the political rap movement of the 80’s.
Since the 70’s he has done a number of collaborations, been a critic of modern black culture (street culture and some of the more heavy rotation rap music), and even released a couple of albums. He has also got into quite of a bit of legal trouble involving drugs over the past few years, and also claims to be HIV+.
The Revolution will not be Televised first appeared in 1970 as more of a congo laden beat poem, and was re-released in 1971 with a full band on a album and double A-Side. The song has been sampled, lyrics used, and spoofed some many times, I am not about to list them, but they have a nice list put together by the Wikinazis. Also for you young’uns, many of you who I am sure have never heard the song, Skag is 70’s slang from Heroin, Richard Nixon was the 37th president of the US, John Mitchell was his AG, Creighton Abrams was the commander of military operation in Vietnam, Spiro Agnew was VP, Natalie Wood was an actress, Steve McQueen was a action hero, Roy Wilkins was director of the NAACP, I think you know the rest. And Malach wasn’t born until 1972.
Red Dawn
Was on AMC the other night, I was tired, but I stayed up until 1AM to watch it . . . haven’t seen it in years . . . . WOLVERINES!
Water Wizz
Malach does not work of Fridays, so the wife too the day off and we made our annual trip to Water Wizz. We had fun, only got slightly sunburned. This of course is my favorite ride, the one the wife likes to call The Douche.
La Chupacabra
I think the are Gene Spliced creatures of the Dubya Adminstration.
So, the names of the suspended WWE susperstars.
Is is 15, and has some pretty big names on it: Dave Bautista, Randy Orton, Charles Haas, Adam “Edge” Copeland, Robert “Booker T” Huffman, Shane Helms, Chris “Masters” Mordetsky, Mike “Simon Dean” Bucci, Anthony “Santino Marella” Carelli, John “John Morrison” Hennigan, Darren “William Regal” Matthews, Ken “Mr. Kennedy” Anderson, Eddie “Umaga” Fatu, Shoichi Funaki and Chavo Guerrero. Some are pretty obvious (Batista), Chavo should know better, considering Eddie Guerrero was his uncle, and Benoit was his best friend, and William Regal?
The Mood of Red Sox Nation
Not too good, a couple of key injuries (you saw what happened in NY with out Manny, Wake is down tonight, Keilty also feeling iffy). Tavares was pretty bad tonight, but the Sox are trying to make a game of it. At least the Yankess lost . . . hehehehe.
Rodney Harrison.
Well, this is not good. I can understand a older player trying to recover from a couple of devastating injuries, and at least he was honest . . but Rodney, I had more respect for you than that . . . Well, no wonder Brandon Merriweather played all of yesterdays game . . and expect to see Autrell Hawkins back.
Senator Craig.
I have always wondered what the GOP stand for, now I know Gay Old People.
Well . . .
At least Angryman’s hero will only be in jail one day.
If you thought Andy Dick was dead, raise your hand.
If you think he will be dead say by X-Mas 2009 . .
Shaolin Showdown.
Oh yeah, what about the pirates; they kicked both your asses.
Malach’s Quote/Video of the Day
I am Malach, and I would win in a fight vs. a ninja, shoalin monk, Mohammed, and a Pirate.

LOL I thought your ghetto was showing when you said Water “Wizz”! Damned if that isn’t the name of the place! Here, it’s called “Water World”.
Sounds like Andy Dick’s performance was piss poor.
What did he do to deserve being forced to resign? Really, haven’t we all tried to have sex w/a random stranger in a bathroom before? And haven’t we all tried to cover it up w/stupid lies later? Hell, that’s a regular weekday for me.
I recently rediscovered Gil. A few years ago I was telling a friend of mine (who just so happens to be black) that Gil Scott-Heron was the founder of rap. He had never heard of him. He has another great song called “The Bottle,” which I fell into head first last.
When some friends o mine & I toyd wif th idea of “movie night” where th theme woud be “Pick a film that you LOVE but youre sure evryone else will HATE,” one o my friends pickd Red Dawn.
We dint nevr have that movie night, so I aint nevr seen Red Dawn. Therefore, I cant say fer sure that I hate it.
But thats th rumor.
Yeah, Wizz must seem to be some type of joke, but it has stuck for the past 25 years. Never has sex with a stranger in a bathroom sorry.
Yeah, i got to build up my Gil collection.
Water Wizz is great. Have not been in a while. Love your wife’s description. The Douche is right on.
That song hurts my white ears!!!! AHHHHH!
Yeah, the revolution won’t be televised because all the Hu-Mans will be dead.
LONG LIVE THE REVOLUTION!
