No Plugs
Has the boys part today, but is some interesting news, after a LONG absence, Palmer sent me a new page of Necromancer Ned. And claims he will sporadically submit more here and there. Now, if I could only get BUG to submit some more Notched Blade, we would be golden.
So, expect a Ned update sometime this week, I want to redesign his archive also, so it might take a few days.
Oh and I recieved a new C.R.AM podcast today, that will also be up soon.
You are listening too . . .
I honor of Veteran’s Day, George Harrison’s, Give me Love (Give me Peace on Earth), which I am sure most Veterans would agree with.
Veteran’s Day
In honor of all the veteran’s of this country, and of them in my family and my wife’s family, and friends and collegues, Malach the Merciless salutes you. While Malach is generally anti-war, veterans deserves much respect for the sacrifices they have made to make this country a place of freedom.
So, for this day, Malach reprints something he read this morning at the blog of Colonel, Colonel.
Well how’d y’do, Private Willie McBride?
Do you mind if I sit here, down by your graveside?
And I’ll rest for a while in the warm summer sun,
I’ve been walking all day now, and I’m nearly done. And I see by your gravestone you were only 19,
when you joined the Glorious Fallen, in 1916,
well I hope you died quick, and I hope you died clean…
or Willy McBride, was it slow and obscene?
Did they beat the drum slowly, did they sound the fife lonely?
did the rifles fire o’er ye as they lowered you down?
Did the bugles play the “Last Post” and chorus?
did the pipes play “The Fields, and the Forest”?
And did you leave a wife or a sweetheart behind?
In some faithful heart is your memory enshrined?
And though you died back in 1916,
to that loyal heart, are you forever 19?
Or are you a stranger, without even a name?
forever enshrined, behind some glass pane,
in an old photograph- torn and tattered and stained,
and faded to yellow, in a brown leather frame?
Did they beat the drum slowly, did they sound the fife lonely?
did the rifles fire o’er ye as they lowered you down?
Did the bugles play the “Last Post” and chorus?
did the pipes play “The Fields, and the Forest”?
Now the sun’s shining down on these green fields of France,
the soft wind blows gently and the red poppies dance,
the trenches have vanished long under the plow,
no gas and no barbed wire, no guns firing now.
But here in this graveyard it’s still No Man’s Land,
as thousands of white crosses in mute witness stand,
to Man’s blind indifference to his fellow Man,
and a whole generation that was butchered and damned.
Did they beat the drum slowly, did they sound the fife lonely?
did the rifles fire o’er ye as they lowered you down?
Did the bugles play the “Last Post” and chorus?
did the pipes play “The Fields, and the Forest”?
And one final question, young Willie McBride,
do all those who lie here know why they died?
Did you really believe them when they told you the Cause?
Did you really believe that that War would end wars?
For the suffering, the sorrow, the glory, the shame,
the killing, the dying, it was all done in vain.
Young Willie McBride,
it all happened again…
and again
and again
and again
and again…
Did they beat the drum slowly, did they sound the fife lonely?
did the rifles fire o’er ye as they lowered you down?
Did the bugles play the “Last Post” and chorus?
did the pipes play “The Fields, and the Forest”?

FU NFL
More on Bill Simmons thoughts of the Patriots, and last weeks Colts game. And he does have a point, the Pats have San Fran’s first round pick, how great will it be, they end up with a top 5, and trade it for 2 first rounders; the ultimate FU to the league.
And SD is pounding the crap out of Indy right now, another good thing for the Pats.
Oh and Uh
Kimbo won his first MMA fight, in 19 seconds, against a journeyman who has 21 fights under his belt.
Oh and thank you Angry Piper
Because of your stupid Ireland Vacation blogs, I drank 3 Guinesses last night. First time I have drank alcohol in like 10 months. Jerk. I have three left, I supposed I must try and drink them before they become skunky . .
Malach’s Quote/Video of the Day
Some more Deja Vu
I am Malach and we all need kindly She-apes in our lives do we not?

Sounded kind of like the guy who played Race Banon in Johnny Quest. The original, not the reloaded one in the 80s or whenever.
How can you tell if Guiness has gone skunky?
I could use a she-ape or two!
How come I can’t hear your music? Yes, my speakers are on.
Perfect song to choose Malach dear boy!
I am sure the Vets appreciate it.
I can only hear the music when I use IE.
My daughter (who is 7) looked at me yesterday and said, “I know what a veteran is.”
I said, “Oh yeah, what?”
She said, “It’s people who don’t eat meat.”
So, happy Vegetarians Day, everyone.
Happy Veterans day!!!
