With Razzleberry Dressing
Published December 16th, 2007 in .Plugs
Ok, I finally finished my client project, the flash animation, my first one. There are quite a few things I have learned with project, especially considering the last animation software I played with was back in back in 1994, while in college. Here is the animation. Now, I have another big website update for another client, which I promised by Wednesday, but this is just web design, so I should be able to throw some updates up the next few days. And the Murk and Malach Xmas Xtravanaganza will be up before Xmas this year.
I thoroughly enjoyed doing this Flash/Art Workshop, and can’t wait to do the next. I think I will be looking to do some animated JesusMan! for the summer. Also I have 3 new webcomics, I will adding soon.
You are listening too . .
The Lord’s Bright Blessing, from the animated classic, Mr. Magoo’s Christmas Carol.
Which brings me too . .
I got tagged by Phoebe Fay to do an Xmas inspired meme. The rules:
1) Link to the person that tagged you, and post the rules on your blog.
2) Share Christmas facts about yourself.
3) Tag 7 random people at the end of your post, and include links to their blogs.
4) Let each person know that they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.
Here we go:
- Wrapping or gift bags?: Wrapping, I like to wrap. I love to put tons of tape on my wrapped up gifts; to me it is “prolonging the Christmas Joy”. I am not a neat wrapper though, I am, how you would say, bohemian. Also, I like to wrap Dr. Murk’s gifts sometimes funny.
- Real or Artificial?:Malach has always had an artificial tree, except for the first couple of years we were married. The wife has always had real. But the year my son was born in November, I convinced the wife how much easier it would be with a newborn to get a fake one, “until he got older”. Well we bought one, and she is convinced and will never go back. The funny part is I convined all my in-laws to get fake ones, and they will never go back either . . . lead poisoning here we come!
- When do you put up the tree?: Family tradition weekend after Turkey Day.
- When do you take the tree down?: In our old small house, the weekend after, cause we always held a huge New Years Party, now we leave up for the party, but it comes down soon after that.
- Do you like Egg Nogg?: Not really, and even less after last years Xmas Podcast.
- Favorite gift recieved as a child?:Hmmm. Not sure, maybe the GI Joe Aircraft Carrier.
- Do you have a nativity scene?:Yes, it belonged to my wife’s deceased Grandmother, very pretty porcelain.
- Worst Christmas Gift you have Recieved?: Not sure, I don’t really recall ever hating something someone has given me.
- Mail or E-Mail Christmas Cards?: Usually mail, but I am making a web one for you guys.
- Favorite Christmas Movie?: There are quite a few, A Christmas Story, Mr. Magoo’s Christmas Carol; Twas the Night Before Christmas, Year Without a Santa Claus to name a few.
- When do you start shopping for Christmas?: The kids; about October, everyone else in December.
- Favorite Thing to Eat at Christmas?:Prime Rib and Lobster, though I have never had that on Xmas; hmm, new tradition?
- Clear or Colored Lights?:I do the colorful ones, though I call them Lights of Color, not to insult them, the laundry on the other hand is colored.
- Favorite Christmas Songs?: Much too many to name . .
- Travel or Stay Home?: My wife had a nervous breakdown just about 3 years cause we went too many places, so she basically made a ultimatum and now everyone comes here.
- Can you name all of Santa’s Reindeer?:Of course, Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donder, Blitzen, Rudolph, Robbie, and Olive
- Angel or star on top of the tree?: a star
- Open Present Christmas Ever or Christmas Morning?: Morning of course, except for the traditional Xmas Eve PJ’s for everyone
- Most Annoying thing about this time of year?: People who go shopping once a year, and don’t know how to shop.
- Specific theme or color for your tree?:No, kind of brick-a-brack/potluck
- What do you leave for Santa?: Milk and Cookies
- Least Favorite Christmas Song?: That stupid song about the Christmas Shoes, man I want shoot myself when I hear that song.
- Favorite Ornament?: I have so many; since my wife and I were married a month before Christmas we received so many awesome ones as wedding gifts.
Tag, your it, most everyone has done this so if you feel up to it, do it. That’s it for me today, tired from shoveling water logged snow, got a cold, and such. Be back tomorrow though.
Malach’s Quote/Video of the Day
I am Malach, and that Shane MacGowan ain’t half bad looking with teeth.

Hey the drawings (in your flash) are so cute

Oh I’m going to do this meme too
That’s a great piece of animation; loved how you used all the kids art work. Feel better soon.
I can’t for the life of me figure out why Stick Figure Man wasn’t in your animation. I think you are prejudiced because he is African-American.
Great meme.
YES! Animated JesusMan! I can’t wait.
I hate wrapping shit.
If I could sum up my wrapping talent, it would be:
An armless paraplegic with double-side tape did it with his teeth.
..or..
A Stephen Hawking Christmas.
Everything looks like it was shot from a cannon on opposing sides, and morphed together in an explosion of paper, tape, and exposed sections of gifts.
I’m wrap-challenged.
Just like the Beastie Boys.
The animation was so sweet! Cool. Thanks for playing with the meme, and thanks for remembering Robbie and Olive. They so often feel left out.
We’re all getting an animated xmas card??!! I can’t wait! I’d almost do Shane MacGowan with his new dental work … almost.
Mother Hen: hey they had a good teacher
HTGT: Thanks
Mike: He was not drawn by a person with Autism, I don’t think
Dr. John: Send money, your a Doctor
Mooog: Nice
Phoebe: Robbie sucks, I like Olive though
Sara Sue: No not animated, don’t have the time
Love Santa and the one reindeer! Very nice Malach. Like the meme too. You rock!
