Got real busy and just kind of got on the PC this evening now.
Benazir Bhutto
This makes me angry and sad. Madame Bhutto was a strong force for freedom, human rights, removal of the caste style feudal systems, and Peace in that part of the world . . . of course that made her enemies with radical Islam. Pakistan was ready for this, Bhutto coming to power. This is akin to the MLK assassination here in the 60’s. One can only hope her sacrifice inspires the people of that region, like MLK’s death did here in the US. Perhaps this is a spark for change in that part of the world, and Islam in particular, only time will tell.

Bhutto not only represented a lot of hope for the people of Pakistan, she represented a lot of hope for the people of that whole region. I hope something good can come out of her death for the region, but somehow I doubt it will.

It is sad that there is just so much unrest. Bhutto was a force and death was the only option they had for her. If you cant tame it, kill it. Sad that this seems to be the motto of the world these days.
