I’m a dork when it comes to sports, so I’ll just say, Yay for geek stuff!
As a lifelong, disappointed LIONS fan, I have to congratulate the Pats and all their fan.
Must be nice!
Joey: Ugh, wow, you bring back nightmare, like Ryan Leaf was for the Chargers. Eason, he hated contact.
Colonel: Yeah Baby
Eve: I like the bottom
Curious: I will describe more geek stuff today
Mike: What’s worse, lifelong Lions or Saints fan?
I was struck last night, during the broadcast, by a story they told about another veteran player, who’s name I forget at the moment, who is negotiating to stay with his team at the end of his contract provided he gets some “concessions”. Bryant noted that among these might be skipping part of training camp and skipping Wednesday practices, as “many veterans” do.
I guarantee those “many veterans” are playing on teams which are -not- headed to the Superbowl.
I said it earlier in the year when folks were complaining about the Pats “running up” the score- a lot of that had to do with Bill wanting them to play 60 minutes of football, not 45 or 50. We saw it last night- the Giants, who played a helluva game for 50 minutes, couldn’t do it for 60, and the Pats could. Eli Manning had a great game, but WTF is up with only getting 2 plays off in 90 seconds when there are 3 minutes to play and you’re down by a touchdown and a field goal?
You just can’t play hard for 50 minutes against the Pats and win, and that’s the difference.
I am always up for a quickie!
