Martin Luther King Day
Besides getting the day off for some of us, Martin Luther King was a great man, who help push some great changes into this country, not only for blacks, but in turn for women, and homosexuals who followed his civil rights movement.  Another voice of a generation silenced by an assassin(s) bullet, if you think about the plight of Black America, while it is not perfect, it is 1000s of time better that it was 40+ years ago.

A day to remember the man, there were few like him.

Them Patriots
All I can say is wow.  A game like yesterday, and game where Tom Brady has his worst game in at least a year if not two, and still they won.  Patriots teams have done this since 2000, melded and changed to to any style of play to win, it is just now, they pretty much have an all star team while doing it.

Fans complained about a lack of running game, well Maroney was hurt, they rested and stayed away from him for half season, and look at him now; this is like the third straight 100 yard game.  We complained about the defense the past few weeks, the might I add 4th ranked defense and number 2 in points allowed, and what do they do, they go back to Patriots defense; don’t give up the big play, and limit them to field goals.  They come out in the second half and baffles the opposition (San Diego was not in that game at all in the Second Half).  When Brady didn’t have it, Faulk (who has done it tons of times), Maroney, and the Defense carried this team.  They will beat you any style that works to beat you.

I am not ready to give my full prediction for the big game, but the Jints will lose, this Patriots team is too much of a juggernant, and look at what Bellichick does against teams he rarely faces for the second time in the year (one example, St. Louis in 2001).

And yes, I know the Pats are the New York Yankees of football, and everyone wants to see them lose.  But again, I remember the Pats, or the Patsies of old . . . 1 - 15, 2 - 15 . . .

And you know what, I have to give San Diego some credit.  They did not run their mouths like in the past, and Phillip Rivers, who I think is a very overrated Quarter Back, tried to pull a Curt Schilling . . Gates was definitely not 100%, and LT, the guy everyone though would play and entire game?  Well, it seemed weird to me he left after 2 snaps.

Them Celtics
This was definitely a trap game.  And the Celtics almost gave it up to the Knicks by playing their chipping technical foul game, but they came out of it, and easily won in the end.  Doc Rivers was not happy with the attitude in the post-game conference so we will see a refocus in the next game like this.

Those of you watched the Pat’s game now it was chilly around these parts, I live about 50 miles from Foxborough, but right on the water, so it wasn’t much worse that 15 yesterday, and better today.
