There are two new pages of Kid Intense, Chapter Four, pages 5 & 6. Man does this series live up to it’s title, with this new villain who is basically a cross between Sinestro and The Mandarin.
Also we have Chapter IX of The Road to Emmaus.
Dear Malach
Wow, slow day in the comments, but we have a multi-part question
- Malicious Intent writes: Dear Malach, You, not Catholic?? I am so shocked! (That too was sarcasm.) I looked for you in the video, but all I saw were good looking folks. Where did I miss you at? Malach is not sure what religious label you could put him under, maybe I will make it a contest. You see, I believe in God, whether he is called God, Jesus, Allah, Buddha, Krishna or whatever, I really don’t care. You see, I grew up Catholic, but It never really fit me. Don’t get me wrong, Jesus is a cool guy, I would love to meet him and discuss philosophy with him, but I never got all up tight about the Son of God, saving you from your sins, transubstantiation, virgin birth, communion of Saints, accept him in your heart and your saved stuff. I have explored other religions too, and one of the things that gets me, is they are all basically preaching the same stuff. I have been leaning recently to Eastern Thought, mixed with a little pseudo Wiccanism recently. I see more of God in climbing a mountain and seeing the view, or in my kids, that I say see in a book of Parables. As for not seeing Malach in the video, you forget my child, Malach is everywhere all the time, you just can’t see him, so get off that porn site.
The Mood of Red Sox Nation
So, I suppose if you had told me that Ortiz and Manny would miss significant time over the past month, Schilling would be done for the seaon, and Dice-K and Beckett would go on a DL stint by June 22nd, and they would still be in first place, I wouldn’t believe it. To top it off, JD Drew has been their best hitter, arguable John Lester their most consistent pitcher, and both Okajima and Papelbon have been iffy. And then top it off by telling me the Rays are in second?
I ask you again . .
Who the Hell is Amy Winehouse, and why is her drug addled life news?

Based on your loose religious concept description, you fall under the neo-pagan category. Pagan is a umbrellla term which many religions fall under. Almost all are earth center based with folks worshipping one to multiple Gods or Goddesses. Most believe in a God and Goddess a Ying and Yang so to speak, meaning all are created equal, balance. So Neo-Pagans are folks who are reinventing a religion that fits their own belief system with a touch of Wiccan, Native American, maybe even some Christian beliefs or other religions. Basically taking what you like from many and combining the parts you like/need/believe into one customized system that makes sense to you. Try this site for some good reads http://www.witchvox.com. A lot of good essays from all over with varying points of view. The folks who run that site are great and very dedicated. It’s a massive resource.
Boy, did I just get serious about religion here? Spooky.
Speaking of religious beliefs, us pagans like to burn things. Things like Kid Intense, at big bon fires.
I actually enjoyed that video today. It was good to see three so very differet super heros come together despite their differences and work as a team to solve the problem. Now if we could just get our government to learn that lesson we would be sitting pretty.
Marvel needs to make that movie.
Oh, and Malach was Baptised, Confirmed, and Married Catholic. His kids are both Catholic. His wife is Catholic. He is an Agnostic, a Deist, an Anamist, and a Lapsed Catholic. You never get rid of Catholic. It’s like the HIV. But he’s not a practicing Catholic, no.
While I have no problem with the word PAGAN (I was one once myself), let’s not liberally apply it to all non Christian faiths.
1. Some faiths find it insulting.
2. Even when I was a Pagan, I found the term outdated, Greek even.
3. If you pick and choose the parts of the religions you like best, that’s not Pagan or Wiccan or Hermetic or Zoarastrian even. That’s making your own religion. Fine if you do, very fine. But being fallible people that we are, a religion of one or even twenty can run off track.
4. Malach knows what he is. I think it would be better if he decided if he is a Pagan or not.
I am a Christian Mystic of the Catholic Church. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_mystic
I respect your beliefs. Heck, I know the LBR and Gnosticism and Quabala and all that by rote. But, just because Malach goes to church, I’m not going to label him a Catholic.
And no, I don’t pray for your conversion or think you’re going to hell. I’m not that guy. I pray for your well being, your happiness and the happiness of those you love. We were all born the same way and we will all die the same way. What happens in between is not for any human being to judge.
I worship the Green Lantern.
Here is my prayer:
In brightest day, in blackest night,
No evil shall escape my sight.
Let those who worship evil’s might
Beware my power,
GREEN LANTERN’S LIGHT!
-Everyone has their own opinon.
-I was not worried about what you or anyone thinks/feels, so there was no reason to defend yourself in anyway.
-I respect others and their beliefs and believe that no one is wrong.
-And no matter what you say when it comes to politics or religion, you are going to insult someone, which is also something I was not concerned with.
-I am also sure Mal can speak for himself as to what he is or is not. I don’t think I said anything that required someone defending him as he mentioned maybe making it a contest out of it, so I was just tossing in my vote with my own personal opinion which may mean absolutely nothing to you or him. Take it or leave it as with anything in life.
-Even folks in the Pagan community having varying opions, so yours is no more right or wrong than mine. Not much different than folks in the Christian community not fully agreeing on everything.
-I did not apply Pagan to all non-Christian faiths, I said it is an umbrella term which many religions fall under. I did not specificy which ones, as there are also varying opinions by many on what falls under that umbrella.
HAIL SATAN!
Who’s Satan?
MI: Yeah kind of Neo-Pagan, kind of Zoroastrain, kind of Eastern Thought. Thanks for the analysis Marvel should defintely go CGI something with their characters.
Murk: But what about my worship of Xenu?
Angryman: Which version of the Green Lantern, I way always partial to John Stewart, once you go black you never go back. Speaking of that, they changed the oath to say “darkest night” instead of “blackest night”
Dr. John: HAIL SATAN
MI: My brother
Worship Xenu? Heathen! I worship Xena.
That 4 minute video was better than Cloverfield.
My Daddy always says “ONCE A CATHOLIC ALWAYS A CATHOLIC”.
I
Great video…
I’m a member of the Red Sox nation and often watch the games on TV alone in the dark drinking beer…. (if they carry them down here in this hell hole).
I’d like to lick Jason Varitek from top to bottom like a popsicle…I’m just saying.
uhmm
“The” God is”Father Spirit and son” and the son is Jesus the one when was baptised a voice from heaven said “this is my son” and the one which the holy spirit decended in the form of a pigeon.
The other guys speak great things but were never recognized by God as the only way… to get to him
keep praying Malach that one day you can make the difference between Budha and Jesus cause who can’t make the difference and respect it it might be too late finding out on reconing day
hey!!! the camp was great!!!
I believe in God. In Jesus. Despite I don’t really care about the history the virgin birth etc.
I once had an out of the body experience - after a really bad car accident which left me in coma. And believe it or not, I was dreaming, talking to someone, and the last question I was asked, “Do you believe in Jesus Christ?”
I answered yes.
The next thing I knew, I woke up. You can read the story here:
http://therealmotherhen.blogspot.com/2007/06/answer-was-there.html
So Malach, don’t abandon your own religion, as you may not get a chance to discuss any philosophy with any higher being at all.
Malicious Intent,
Defensive? No. Malach is my brother and even he calls me Satan.
Here’s why I responded:
“Based on your loose religious concept description, you fall under the neo-pagan category. Pagan is a umbrellla term which many religions fall under. Almost all are earth center based with folks worshipping one to multiple Gods or Goddesses.”
Now, Malach has endorsed this, and so he agrees with you.
If I said you fall under the category of “New Age Wiccan” would you agree?
If so, wonderful. If not, then I should not have spoke for you.
Just an open discussion, my friend. I don’t like the word Pagan. It has a negative connotation to many people (granted, they might be ignorant). My brother supported me when I was a great believer in Hermetic Magic. He even (kinda silly) bought me Buckland’s. He supports me now as a Catholic.
I support him. Do you see where I was coming from? I’m sorry if I came off preachy. The greatest of the virtues is Love. I would never condemn someone based on faith. That’s for the Higher Power to figure out.
Peace.
Mukry
“If I said you fall under the category of “New Age Wiccan” would you agree?”
It is very difficult to sum up anyone person much less an entire population with one word. But sometimes, you need that to just make things easier. I was not calling Mal a “neo pagan” but calling what loose description he gave me that. It’s not like a got a whole lot of information from him and could only toss my opinion for his “contest” into the hat to take or leave.
If you wish to believe that based on what you know about me, I personally do not care. I would not agree or disagree. I try not to label myself, but when folks want one, I try to use the simplest one I can come up with. And same on this forum. I use the word “Pagan” as it is the most commonly used word in reference to many religious belief systems and I don’t have all day and this is not my blog, however we do seem to have taken over Mal’s blog.
We both agree on one thing, the greatest virtue is Love.
I did however leave a small farewell to George Carlin on my blog just now. (Tragic loss.) I dedicated it to you.
I agree about Varitek. By George. We will miss ya!
Colonel: Xena is much hotter on BSG
Mooog: Thanks for that warning
C.Rag: Your Daddy is WRONG!
Tammie: My sister-in-law has met Veritek
Toyi: In other literature, God says different things
Murk and MI: You should start a church together
Eve: I would like George Carlin for money.
MI,
Perhaps it is time for the Church to embrace its Pagan roots?
I suggested you pray… not just read or what sounds most appealing… actually that is the trick.
