Just got back from Western MA, and Special Olympics.
At the Special Olympics
So, first off, how did we do? Well the first day we won both games, won the second game 21 - 3, should of won it 21 - 0 if not for a crazy first inning where we had a ton of errors.. Today, we faced the Dragons, who we are a pretty evenly matched team with, and we sucked for the first half of the game, and was down 10 - 2. Couldn’t hit, only myself and Jeff were hitting in that game, I then went to the knuckleball exclusively, and lost 10 - 7. The problem with SO softball is the games are on 65 minute time limits, and once you hit the time limit, they finish the home teams ups, and that is it. If we played 7 innings, we would have won. The problem, again, we couldn’t hit, and it didn’t help our cause any that most of our team stayed up really late drinking. Malach went to bed at 10M and slept until 6:30AM. By the 4th inning, most of our guys had sweated out their hangovers, and then we hit. I should of switched to the knuckler earlier.
Second game, we went down 5 - 0, again couldn’t hit. In that stretch I got on base twice, but no one could bring me in. This is not like are team, one thing we can do is hit, and we got a little frustrated, but I kept the pitching going, and we kept our defense going, and got to the forth, with about 20 minutes left, and went off and scored 15 runs, ending the game. So we ended up with the silver.
Weekend was fun, lot of laughs, lots of evil conversations I can’t repeat, lot of sweaty men with BO. Of course, not TV or internet, so I am trying to catch up with the news, especially the deaths of Bernie Mac and Isaac Hayes, along with the military confrontation between Georgia and Russia. Also caught up on the Sox, and the Pats game. I am really going to have to describe this softball team, when I am lacking something to post.
KMP Softball Update
So, now after 2 straight days of multiple games and sleeping in dorms, we have our first playoff game in my men’s league, the first of the second round (got a bye as we ended in first place). Got the Misfits who we swept this year. I am a little sore, but will be reading, my elbow, after icing it feels really good.

RIP.
So this weekend, both Bernie Mac and Isaac Hayes died. Two very interesting black men, who made a real name in their respective parts of show business. Bernie Mac is of course a funny comedian, been in ton of pretty good movies (and pretty bad ones) and listed as one of the top 100 comedians of all time. Isaac Hayes of course is a legend in R&B and Soul music, the former voice of Chef on South Park, and of course the guy who made the theme to Shaft. What a lot of people might not now about Hayes is he is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, co - wrote such classic songs as Soul Man and When Something is Wrong with My Baby.
I an ironic twist of fate, Hayes, along with Bernie Mac, star with Samuel L. Jackson on a upcoming film Soul Men.

Hey you should know this, you only have to have some type of developmental disability to play Special Olympics, and as for letting him out, we don’t institutionalize as much as they did in the past here in MA.

Didn’t see that either, but for Brock Lesnar who has 3 MMA fights to absolutely dominate a pretty good fight in Heath Herring is amazing, lets see Kimbo Slice fight someone of that quality. In addition I can’t wait to see GSP fight BJ Penn.
Georgia vs. Russia (with the US mixed in)
Does this remind anyone of the Soviet action in Afghanistan and the US response? Russia has only psuedo invaded, but whose gonna stop them? Another ghost war perhaps?

I really feel sorry for bernie Mack & Issac Hayes. It was really nice knowing them, and i am sure that they are in a better place. So R.I.P. Both Bernie Mack & Issac Hayes. Just so you know, i will send you a new chapter of Kid Intense this coming weekend. This chapter will be a blast!

Bernie Mac’s tv show was funny & didn’t get stuck in being a “black” sitcom or anything like that. It was just funny.

I bet Russia won’t be dicking around for 6 years in Georgia though. They get in, get the job done and move on. You have to admire that.

Hey, sorry…I am two posts behind here. I spent the majority of my day solving other folks problems. We are in the middle of our office move, so we all worked from home, but my boss did what I told her not to do and unplugge my system under my desk which was our back up server that then resulted in everyone loosing their ability to log on from home. So I went on to solve problems from phone calls. One parent haveing problems with a new school already and I had use the muscle to get the principal to see it me way, well actually the federal law way. Then I had another mother call me who has a very sick husband wit liver cancer and her kids bike is broken and they are broke. Bike very important reinforcer. So I hunted down a volunteer in her area to go fix it for free. Then another call from an aunt looking for help for her newphew in New Jersey.
Then I find out my less than knowledgeable husband downloaded some shit on my computer for “free” coupons and now I have a shit load of spy ware and garbage and have been fixing that, still. Almost done. I am using his machine right now. I should load it up with crap to drive him nuts.
Don’t feel bad, traffic has been slow at my sight. But all the fun has been over at Phoebes while she has been away, worth reading the comments. Col Col. is a dead man.
Oh my God, they killed Chef! Going to miss him more than the Bernie Mac. I just loved his voice. Apparenty being a celebrity these days has a high mortatlity rate. They are dropping like flies!
Today we go to our directors house for our staff retreat while they are putting thigs together in in our new and insane office! I cannot wait. I was a bit teary when I walked in one last time to grab things and saw everything broken down. We did so much in such a small space and we are moving up…which is a good / bad thing. We hav to move up because we are serving more people, not less. Thatis sad.

Oh and Lesner….I have doubts about him. He had a very successful career with the WWE, then at his peek he left to the NFL. Apparently that did not work, now he is in the UFC. What next? I always wonder when someone like Lesner hops around never satisfied. What is his goal??
I mandate an order that famous people stop dropping dead for no damn good reason. I am still scared by George Carlin, had a big scare about Freeman.
I actually like Paris Hilton this week. I know, sick…but I cannot help but laught at her comback to McCain. Smart girl playing dumb. Luvs it.
