Congrats WEEI, NESN, Red Sox and the Jimmy Fund
If you are not familiar with the Jimmy Fund, it is a charity that has been around for a long time that fights cancer in kids, and is part of Dana Faber Cancer hospital in Boston. The Red Sox have been sponsoring them for about 40 years. For the past 7, the have teamed with Sport Radio WEEI and New England Sports Network (NESN) to do a two day telethon to raise money. It is fun telethon with a lot of fun and surprises. They set a goal this year of $4 million dollar, 1/4 of what they have earned in the past 6 years, tying to surpass last years total of $3.7 million. They new it would be tough, with economy and such, but amazingly with 2 hours left, they are at almost $4.5 million. Excellet job to all those involved.

Damn brother, 7 golds, and did you see that last one, he won by 1/100th of a second . . . man this guy is unbelievable. And the way record are falling in like everyrace by full seconds plus . . . wow.
I also find it damn entertaining, watching that midget Bob Costa sit at his desk in the studio, and through the open window behind him is a huge portrait of Mao Tse-Tung.
