- Tiff writes: Dear Malach, Wonder when they’re goign to cast for The Silmarillion? Murk and I were discussing that the other day, for those of you not familiar with Tolkein work, The Silmarillion, check out it’s wiki page. Personally, I have an idea for that, I think I should pitch. I think if you made a 4 season Sci-Fi network program like Battlestar Galactica, each season could consist of say 18 one hour epsiode and maybe a 2 hour TV movie each season, and each season could represent each age of Middle Earth . . . ie 1st season, the First Age, 2nd season, the Second Age . . . could be interesting with a revolving cast, of course you would have some who appear in multiple seasons (Annatar/Sauron, the Istari, Shelob, and others). I think it would be a huge hit.
The Olympics
Some awesome medalists like Misty May and Kerri Walsh (watched it live last night), some unexpected wins, namely the Women’s Soccer Gold, the shocking loss of the Women’s Softball team, the dropped batons, over all a pretty interesting day!
RIP Gene Upshaw
This was kind of surprising, and I am sure there are plenty of people happy he is gone in the industry (they won’t admit it), but Gene Upshaw has as much responsibilty for the Modern NFL as Rozelle. RIP.

uhmmm, well I expected USA women team to win, they are doing pretty good, I follow them closely… women soccer seem to be overlooked but they actually play better than the male USA soccer team lol
why Brazilians or any latin soccer team countries wouldn’t do as good? simply because most of Latin america don’t support women soccer teams, they think girls should be at home cleaning crap and be ready for sex when husband cllas for eh eh
USA gives women teem that support that makes them a succes (even if is not 100% support, is still more than any of what other women soccer teams get.

I am kinda hoping Biden, but then he has been our Senator for so long, like as in forever..that it will be weird to lose him to the White House. About two years ago I was holiday shopping in our local Kohl’s store. I went to this doo hickey in the middle of an isle to look at watches. I didn’t notice there was a rather tall man in a suit near me and we bumped into each other. I looked up to say sorry and it was Biden. And he had the damn watch I wanted! Bastard. Oh well, at least he was polite about it.
I wish Obama would just come out and tell us. He is treating this like the trailer to Cloverfield or something. Come on! Just do it! Say it! Show us the beast! (I mean the other beast, not Murk.)
Biden would be a huge mistake. His strongest asset is foreign policy, which would make him a perfect Secretary of State. If Biden is VP and not Secretary of State, he would overshadow Obama’s choice as Secretary of State, making that person useless. On top of that, his 30 or so years in the Senate conflict w/Obama’s central message of change. His vote for the Iraq war also conflicts w/Obama’s judgment message. Biden doesn’t bring any new states into the Democratic column and he would not be able to follow Obama as President b/c of his age.
Biden would be a terrible choice for VP. He is tailor-made for Secretary of State and that is where he should be. Obama needs someone from outside the beltway who is younger and won’t overshadow the Secretary of State.

Also, I like Biden a lot. I just think that he brings so little to the table as VP that he should be used where he can have the most positive impact, and that would be as SOS.
That there Virginny Gov looks about the right fit for Veep.

I hear ya angrydude….if he leaves here he will no longer be working for us and that would be a loss, for us….he has done a lot here.
Murk told me to eat poo. So I told him he was poo. We have now gone so low as to exchange insults at a second grade level. So I guess that means there has been improvement.
