My Halloween Costume
So the wife and I did McCain and Palin last night. I would have pics, but I cannot find the USB cable to my camera, When I do, I will put some up. We were good though.
So my poor brother-in-law, he is born and raised in North Carolina, a stauch Republican (still thinks Dubya is doing a good job), always been prejudiced, but not openly. He of course is a huge McCain supporter, one on very few here in MA. Of course his wife, not wanting to cause arguments is also a McCain supporter, but it would not shock me if that is all for show. Him, not in a costume, with the rest of the house of about 45 people all Obama supporters, laughing at our costumes, Malach in a effort to make himself short, kneeled down on his shoes, and tucked his head in to give himself several chins. My wife’s impersonation of Palin is as good as Tina Fey’s.
It was so bad, the multitude of kids there, who take after their parents and love Obama, started attacking me and chanting “BARACK OBAMA”. Should of had a video camera, would a been a YouTube hit. Should of seen the Brother-in-laws face.

So guess who Malach got a email from today, that’s right Suha Arafat, the widow of Yasser Arafat asking me to help here embezzel her husband’s fortune! I’m gonna be rich!
The Pats
Well, well, Mr. Cassel is looking more and more comfortable and skilled as the season goes on. Will be an very interesting season, see if Cassel, and the defense can surpass all the injurues and do something in the post-season. Cassel in also a Free Agent after this year, I suspect there will be a lot of interest in his services.
Bottle Redemption Laws
MA has 5 cents on any carbonated beverage, can or bottle. Malach stores his in his cellar in garbage bags, and returns them onec a year. I make about $50. I will be the first to admit, I don’t check to see if they are stamped for MA or not. And for the hour of work it take to turn them in, it is more that worth it.

You save bottles in your basement for a year?? Wow and I thought my pennies in a jar was odd.
We return our bottles at one of those automated things and if the state bar code is wrong, it kicks them out. Michigan is a 10 cent deposit. We take ours back about once every 3 or 4 months. Usually when I get sick of looking at them.
When you get rich on Arafat’s money, send some over the water! Please.
We have a green recycling box which gets emptied once a week - glass bottles go in that. So do plastic ones. But they won’t take yoghurt pots. Paper goes in, but not cardboard.
Recycling is a complicated business! x
Is that you running around with the carriage and the bags of bottle returns?

MI: There are services for that
Eve: I save the bottles, when I get to about 10 bags (which fit in my jeep) I return them and make anywhere from $35 to $65. I also save and roll all my change and return that once a year, make anywhere from $150 - $400, I am frugal.
Mike: Wow, I could be making double in my cans! Works well in MA. If you toss cans, the garbage picker quickly figure that out.
Kitty: Same here, Glass, Plastic, Paper, not cardboard. Fairhaven has a cool recycling center though

I may like baseball if the Phillies win tonight and end this nightmare. Now if they lose tonight (as all Philly teams like to choke at the end) and have to play another game tomorrow night AND thus cancelling my one show I watch weekly (HOUSE.) Then I may need those services you speak off and my husband may need more medical attention.
