Awesome blues/soul/folk/funk mistress passed away yesterday. Big Odetta fan, she is kind of a singers singer, and many aren’t to familiar with her work. HUGE influence on Dylan, Joplin, Baez, Lauryn Hill, Stevie Wonder, and many modern artist too. This video is from 2005, and she could still bring it.
