Dear Malach

• Mother Hen asks: Dear Malach, Hey I heard so much about power outage in New England, were you being affected? — ok obviously not, since you had a post.. I’m the master of the bloody obvious.  Anyway, weather is nasty, drive safe and be well.  No problems what so ever, here in SouthEastern New England, on that day, we had 60 degree weather with rain.  The ice storm basically hit North of Boston and West of I128.  SouthEastern MA is stange, since we are right in the water, we tend to stay 10+ degrees warmer than the rest of the state, of course we get huge ocean effect snow sometimes unlike the rest of MA.
• Kitty asks: Dear Malach, There is a weird white box up there ^ with red words on, relating to ‘pingbacks’. What are pingbacks, and why is it there?!  Since Malach has a pretty popular in terms of hits blog (it’s wierd, I get a third of the comments you do, but this blog average 800 unique views per day), I get A LOT of spam, and I though I got it under control a few months ago. recently it has made a comeback.  In the year and half, I have run this version of my blog, my spam filter has caught 54,153 pieces of comment spam.  Pingbacks, are blogs that link here, and then ping back to hit comments.  A lot of those tend to be spam, some aren’t, I keep the ones that aren’t like Digg pings, and news pings.  This blog highlights them in white, so you know they are pingbacks, and not comments.

1. Do you like blue (sic) cheese?  Yes, very much so, my favorite type of dressing, and I will eat it with bread or crackers.
2. Have you ever smoked heroin? Smoked Heroin?  People still smoke it?  No, never touched Heroin.  Never would considering the amount of Heroin addicts I work with.  That would scare about anyone away from smack.
3. Do you own a gun? No, though after 9/11, I considered it, and am mulling it around with the state of the US economy and reading too many books like The Road.  I am not pro-gun, but neither am I anti-gun.  I have fired guns in the past, and enjoyed going to the shooting range, but would never hunt unless I needed food.
4. What flavor do you add to your drink at Sonic?  Never been to a Sonic.
5. Do you get nervous before doctor appointments?  No, I actually don’t mind, and somewhat enjoy the Doctor’s visits.
6. What do you think of hot dogs? LIKE EM, coney island versions rock!
7. Favorite Christmas movie?  Hard choice, but probably The Christmas Story.
8. What do you prefer to drink in the morning?  Orange Juice, I don’t drink coffee.
9. Can you do push ups?  Of course, just tell me how many.
10. What’s your favorite piece of jewelry?  I don’t wear much, a few earrings, and my wedding band, the wedding band is my fave, it is fairly thin, gold and platnium, with tiny diamonds in the middle, and a leaf scrolling pattern around the circumference.
11. Favorite hobby? Dungeons and Dragons, and complicated Board Games.
12. Do you have A.D.D ?  HEY LOOK AT THE SQUIRREL!
13. What is one trait you hate about yourself?  My baldness, but hate is truly too strong a word, I don’t really hate anything about myself

15. What is your favorite TV show or movie?  TV?  Right now is probably Battlestar Galactica.  Movie?  Couldn’t break it down to one.

23. What shirt are you wearing?  A black Aqua Teen Hunger Force T-Shirt which has Carl standing by his pool, with Meatwad, Frylock, and Master Shake in the pool.  Under the pool it says “Welcome to the Jersey Shore”.
24. What year would you go back in time to?  Wow, I don’t know, there is so much to choose from, perhaps my first choice would be 70 million years ago, see a Dinosaur.  But there is so much more.
25. Can you whistle?  Of course, I am man, not a little sissy girl!
26. Favorite color? Black, because black is all the colors together.
