Matt Cassel/Mike Vrabel
So that Pats did Pioli a favor by trading Cassel and Vrabel. Not sure why Vrabel was traded, but there were rumors that was occuring. I sure to clear salary space, and go after a all pro linebacker who is younger that Vrabel’s 33 years old. Vrabel too had not so good season, so perhaps they are seeing a slowdown in his game. Good luck to both of you.
Hey LA Dodgers!
Welcome to Manny just being Manny!
And now . .
Here is the end of the story. RIP Paul Harvey.
So you thought Spiderman the musical was weird?
Check this one out. Maybe even nuttier? This one.
Malach’s Video of the Day
I am Malach and check out them boots!

Is it wrong that I somehow hoped that if/when Paul Harvey died he was found in a corset with his hands cuffed and an apple stuck in his mouth?
BTW, I’ve tagged you for a meme, but I’m commenting while I’m finishing the blog. It will be up really soon. Give Lucas my regards.
Now that Brady is married will his knee ever be the same?
Can you explain to me why the Pats only got a 2nd round pick for a guy who almost threw for 4,000 years and got 11 wins last season and a great leader like Vrabel? Dumb move to say the least. Brady is going to struggle a bit coming back from that knee (just getting back in rhythm and all), and it would make sense to have someone like Cassel around.
OH I loved Paul Harvey. My mother always had his show playing on the radio when I was growing up. Going to miss him a lot, he always had something great to say.
Buzz: Wow, that is a disturbing picture.
Rag: Sure it will.
Angry: Not completely sure, only that in their system they value late first round and early 2nd rounders more that early first rounders. I assume they tossed Vrabel in as an aging veteran with a high salary to free some cap space. You see though, Bill and Co have been right 99% of the time in this stuff, so around here, we have a In Bill We Trust attitude. Just look at the record: Bledsoe to the Bills, Milloy/Law Cut, awesome drafts in the those late 1st low 2nd picks, and they just freed up $22million.
MI: Not a fan.
I read an article stating that Pioli basically stuck it to the Pats on this. The Pats, b/c of franchising Cassel and having Brady, had too much tied up in their QBs to be competitive in free agency. B/c of that, no one was willing to pay anything for Cassel and the Pats had to accept what the Chiefs offered as they had no leverage. Still, you would think that they could have managed a two and a five in this year’s draft and a conditional three or four next year (or maybe a two this year and a conditional three or four plus a guaranteed five next year). I mean, getting an extra two isn’t bad, but jeez, the Falcons got (2) twos and a higher one for Matt Schaub. Crazy that the Pats couldn’t find anyone willing to give more than a two for Cassel AND Vrabel.
Pats will be fine, they always are
Yeah, but that doesn’t mean that they didn’t get hosed on that trade.
