Interesting fight, Fedor vs. Brett Rogers. While Rogers beat up Fedor for a round, Fedor like a lot of time came from behind and knocked him out, even with a broken nose, and injured hand. Fedor is a Russian Machine, but I hate the fact he isn’t in the UFC, Rogers while OK is only a 3 year MMA vet, and Fedor has beaten everyone else over there, he really needs to come to the UFC and try out guys like Brock Lesnar, Shane Carwin, Cain Valezquez, even Randy Couture (although I wanted to see that fight 3 year ago).
Jake Sheilds while not the most exciting fight did do a decent job going up in weight, will be interesting to see if he can last there, Gergard Mousasi is another guy who needs to get into the UFC and fight Machida, what a fight that could be.

I have a family of clients I work with that are Katrina Survivors, and they want to go back to LA. Why? They got great benefits if welfare and health insurance as well as big help with college, they got nothing in LA. Well maybe hurricane threats.

When I ex first told me about ‘cage fighting’ I was stunned by the concept and a little unsure as to how to connect my internally focused kung fu zen spiritual vibes with guys ripping each other apart in a cage. I was even more confused when she called ‘no rules’ fighting, but later realised what she meant was UFC, or the kind of fight sport where you can use eveyrthing in your kitbag. Mix it up, artists, mix it up martially.
What no opinions on the Pats?

On your Katrina family, when people are forced to leave their home region they have diaspora (a longing for home and the ways of home) and that region is culturally very different from Mass. It is as Dorothy said in The Wizard of Oz: There’s no place like home. Even if home comes with less security and some sure dangers.
