AUGH!
So guess what Malach did today, that he has not done on over a decade . . Wash dishes by hand. The Dishwasher broke down, it is not draining. I pull it apart and it is not a clogged hose, I think, I hope it is not the motor. The Dishwasher doesn’t look too old, but it came with the house, so it could be anywhere from 5 – 15 years old. I am going get George’s Appliance in here tomorrow. George rocks. Very fair and he won’t fix it if it is too expensive. I hoping it is not a motor, which is a $150 – $200, for a little more I can get a new dishwasher (esp since Home Depot is having a big sale and the promised me they could install by Saturday). And honestly I wouldn’t really mind get a new one that is Energy Star rated. And I WILL get a new one. After owing my first one, I WILL NEVER GO WITHOUT ON AGAIN!
Actually I cheated a bit doing the dishes. Since we don’t have the set for hand dishes, you gotta wash and dry at the same time. So, I only did the easy to wash stuff . . plates, pots, and silverware. Bowls and cup I am hoping to have the Dishwasher working tomorrow.
Oh yeah, and siphon the gross water at the bottom . .not fun.
Kind of sad really, I have always said I would build a house around a dishwasher.
