Earl so far has been a dud
We got a lot of rain so far, but not too much else.  Daughter and I walked the Hurricane Barrier at 7:30PM, wasn’t even shut and there was mild wind and no real waves.   Earl is still about 150 miles south, we will see what happens over night, but it looks to be headed out to see.

We haven’t had a real Hurricane round here in about 20 years.  Well looks like Earl might be taking a shot at us for Friday.  Right now his most extreme Westerly projection would land him right over my house.  You know I will have pics.  This house was built in 1900, so it has survived some really bad ones, especially before they built the Hurricane Barrier.  I am about 2 1/2 miles north of that puppy.  There will be pics from there too.

Suppose two undocumenteds have a child born in the country, and the US does not recognize that innocent child as a US citizen, and then the country they come from doesn’t recognize them?  Or suppose they are sending the US born innocent child to a very dangerous country? Imagine the challenges and lawsuits to this one.  And if this changes, does it go further?  Is Barack Obama no longer a US citizen (born to a US Mom, Nigerian Dad in Hawaii) or John McCain (born in Panama to US parents).

KMP Softball Update
So, we played bad defense, and didn’t hit, and lost to the Red Eyes, 13 – 7.  It was pretty sad game, and give the Red Eyes credit, they played real well.   Time to get out of the Rasheed Wallace regular season mode.

Ok, in another surprise, Shannon dead, but Jin and Sun are reunited, as well as Bernard and Rose.  Poor Sayeed.  So the 4 remaining tail section survivors are joining.  We got ghost kids walking around . . .

There are some twitterings that Ray Allen has resigned for the Celtics, and 2 year $10mil a year option which would be AWESOME.   Basically the Celtics return there core at less money, allowing them to make some moves.

Wow it was pretty hot today . .
It was hot, I spent alot of the day on the road and yes, my AC is busted.  We had some problems in the office with an overloaded circuit breaker, but what are you going to do with a old building.  Still 80 degrees at 10PM, and 80% humidity.   I hope is clears by Thursday, I got a long ride to Hyannis to do a presentation on seizures for one of our programs out there.

KMP Softball Update
Good recovery game, still played with 5 scabs as I have 5 guys on vacation.  Beat the Wrecking Crew 10 – 4.  I had an awesome game at the plate went 5 – 5, and I think I had 5 RBI’s.   The Scabs as I affectionately called them all played pretty well, if they played all year with us it would of been interesting.  We are now 19 – 3.

Why do I always see the car accident aftermaths?
Yeah, I drove by this one today and the ambulance was driving off with the guy who had died.   I was heading to a meeting in Fall River, and of course I like to take the scenic backroads instead of the highway a lot of time.

Thank you Obama for refocusing NASA on more the more important points of the space program.   I have been asking for year now, why focus on the Moon?  Additionally, NASA is one of the last old guard ponderous government organizations left over from the Cold War.  Privatizing it, would be more cost effective, and probably get more done in the long run.

South Beach Diet

So, I stated the South Beach Diet 2 and half weeks ago, and following fairly closely.  So far I like it, have lost 12 lbs.   Good too, I got up to 240 this winter.  Got to start jogging this weekend as Daylight Savings comes back into effect.

Interesting . .
Kenneth Ponte died yesterday.  If you are not familar with the name, he is the only ever charged with the Southeastern MA Highway killings of 1989 – 90.  During that year, 9 women, most of them prostitutes were found dead along mainly the RT 88 area of Westport.  Very interesting unsolved case around here, that probably will never be solved.
