WHO THE F’ CARES IF THEY BURN A QURAN?  It does not destroy Islam, and seriously, the only people it insults are the idiots who give Islam a bad name (just like this minister who thinks this is a brilliant idea, give Christianity a bad name).   WHO CARE IF THEY MAKE A CARTOON WITH THE IMAGE OF MOHAMMED!  Get your revenge, burn a Bible.  In fact, who wants to support burn a Bible day?  IT IS A BOOK PRINTED AT A PRINTING PRESS.  This stupid idiot pastor, who knows nothing about Islam, or for that matter Jesus, has the right to burn them if he wants.  So what?

Just as Muslim have the right TO BUILD AND FREAKIN’ RELIGIOUS BUILDING THEY WANT ON LAND THEY OWN!  It’s not like they are building on Ground Zero there assholes (which by the way is privately owned and they could not build one there).  So should we ban a Christian Church next to the area where the Oklahoma City Bombing Occured?  Tim McVeigh was born Catholic and converted to the this militaristic Christian thought.

Seriously, if there is a God up there?  He/She/It must be really proud of all the hate, and intolerance being spread around.

Not sure why everyone is so upset, Malach told you all this was a transitional year, and notice they did not waste money on replacing the injured?  Lost year, but tons of money being freed up next year and the year after.  The Patriots are sort of in the same transition.  Getting younger, but still trying to compete.

We haven’t had a real Hurricane round here in about 20 years.  Well looks like Earl might be taking a shot at us for Friday.  Right now his most extreme Westerly projection would land him right over my house.  You know I will have pics.  This house was built in 1900, so it has survived some really bad ones, especially before they built the Hurricane Barrier.  I am about 2 1/2 miles north of that puppy.  There will be pics from there too.

What can I say but WOW!  So this afternoon, I watched the final episode of season 3, which made me go right out and purchase season 4.  Excellent I must say.  I was completely fooled by the “flashbacks”.  So, they get into Jack with a beard, addicted to pain killers and trying to kill himself.  Of course they played up the flashback angle really well, with Jack driving around a early 80′s Ford SUV, and playing this song which is from 1993.  Of course I am sitting there thinking to myself the entire time . . . where the heck does this fit into Jack pre-island timeline?   With his ex-wife being pregnant, this should of happened right before the plain crash, but where did he have time to grow a beard and develop a pain addiction?  Of course this was a flash-forward after he got off the island, and even when he met that car at the airport, and I just knew someone from the island was going step out of it, and of course Kate did, I was still thinking “What?” and then of course it was revealed to be a flash-forward.

I am actually most sad for the death of Charlie too.  Surprised about how much I liked his character.  And of course the whole Beach Boys keyboard code was pretty cool, which of course is one of my favorite songs of all time.  LOST in general has some pretty kick ass music such as this and this and this and this and this and this and this and this and this.  And that’s just three seasons!

I am also kind of confused with all this rapid healing, the one eyed Russian who keep coming back to life, how old Ben actually is, and Richard seeming to stay young forever.  Paul death also kind of upset me, he was one of my favorite bad guys!

Ground Zero
I don’t see the issue with building and Islamic Center near there.  It is not Islam that did that act, just as the whole of Christianity isn’t responsible for the Crusade, or all of Germany responsible for the Holocaust.  Maybe having a Islamic there will let people learn about the real Islam and not the garbage they read constantly in the news.  I work in a extremely liberal workplace, but I get almost weekly, chain emails from co-workers describing the evil of Islam.   I always send them back with articles the crazy Christian minorties.

I like the C’s brought him back.  He settled in well late with the Celtics and give him a full off season with us?  It bring in a guy who can replace Rondo and Ray Allen without losing a ton, which it good.  Also he defense became good with the C’s, and if they lose Rondo, Nate could do some time on the first team.

RIP Ady Gil
Just watched the latest episode of Whale Wars where the Ady Gil get hit by Shōnan Maru 2 and gets lost.  Whales Wars is a interesting show.  After this incident, I can see some real violence happening in next years Whale Season.  It is interesting, and yes, I don’t know why anyone needs to hunt Whales.  Their oil is no longer useful, and they meat, don’t need it.  I find it very strange that the Japanese get around the Whaling Moritorium by saying they are doing “research”.  This comes from someone who grew up in the former Whaling Capital of the World, where part of Moby Dick is set in.

After watching tonight Deadliest Catch, and watching the death of Captain Phil Harris after his stroke, I decided to play this song they used to end the program with as a HUGE winter storm hit the fleet and Phil dies in a hospital after having another stroke while recovering for the other.  Whole last 10 minutes was pretty powerful and heart wrenching.  RIP Captain Phil Harris.

The Mood of Red Sox Nation
George Steinbrenner, master of the Evil Empire died today.  RIP George, you had a crazy public persona, and we hated you, yet without you, the Red Sox don’t become what they became.  Also you were very generous yearly to the Red Sox Charity the Jimmy Fund, and we came to kind of like you for that.  So yes, Ding Dong the Witch is Dead, but things won’t be the same.

KMP Softball update
So, we finally got some rain tonight, but it was too bad to cancel our game until the last two inning, but we stuck it out.  I pitched my 3rd (4th) shutout of the season, and we won 5 – 0.  Again amazing defense.  The team is in a slight hitting slump, but we play this same team tomorrow and hope to break out of the slump.  I was hoping the rain would cool things off around here, but no, it actually increased the humidyt.  It is right now no longer raining and 78 degrees, with 96% humdity.  It is supposed to rain some more tomorrow . .

The Weather
Yeah so everyone got this rain except us here in Southeastern MA.  The lawn is dying and while the temperature is cooler (hey it only 78 right now) the humidity is still nuts and at 78% so I still haven’t shut down the central air.   My parents who were coming back from Atlantic City yesterday got swamped in a monsoon also in Rhode Island.

Chloe Dancer/Crown of Thorns from Mother Love Bone.  Posted this one as I am ending 1980′s music tonight on Facebook, and this is one of the last song I posted.  I brought me back to that time, 1989 – 1990.  The world was getting sick of hair metal and in the late 80′s some cool bands came around: Guns ‘N” Roses, Pixies, Jane’s Addiction.   Mother Love Bone, first band signed from Seattle had this completely different sound.  And of course Andrew Wood, their lead singer dies, Nirvana hits big, Mother Love Bone become Pearl Jam and the rest is history.

People are still shocked when I tell them that in 1991 I saw two concerts, one had Pearl Jam (Hadn’t released 10), The Smashing Pumpkins (Gish still their best album) Nirvana (just released Nevermind), and The Red Hot Chili Peppers (Blood Sugar Sex Magic) headlining.  I saw them at the Rocky Point Palladium, and hall that was part of an amusement park that held maybe 3000 people, and then Nirvana hit is big, and I saw the same concert maybe 4 months later at the same place with Soundgarden replacing Nirvana.

Wow it was pretty hot today . .
It was hot, I spent alot of the day on the road and yes, my AC is busted.  We had some problems in the office with an overloaded circuit breaker, but what are you going to do with a old building.  Still 80 degrees at 10PM, and 80% humidity.   I hope is clears by Thursday, I got a long ride to Hyannis to do a presentation on seizures for one of our programs out there.

So I just finished watching season one of Lost.  And yes, I predicted the annoying high school teacher would get blown up, but it was funny as Hell!  Some interesting suprises with Walt getting stolen at the end from those guys on the boat (I think they are “the others”) and Locke opening up the hatch . . . Season Two here I come!

What and Interesting Day Part I: KMP Softball update.
Well I will start with the end of the day.  We beat The Misfits today, the third place team, and one of the two teams we have  a loss too.  We are now 13 – 2 and playing the other team we have a loss too, Thursday.   So what was weird you ask?

I pitched a full game shut out.  This is my second of the year almost.  If you remember a few weeks ago, I carried one into the 6th inning, but we were so far ahead we put our backup pitcher to get some work.  This team I went the whole game, only gave up three hits, and blanked the misfits 9 – 0.  Even stranger?  I walked the first two batters of the game.

First Hand Grenades now Mustard Gas?
You may remember a couple of weeks ago one of the clammers dug up over 120 WWII era handgrenades that some had dumped, that the Police spectacularly exploded.  Well today another clammer dragged up two WWI era mustard gas shells.  Wow, and neither of those wars was even on these shores.

What and Interesting Day Part II:
So today at work we had a mandatory staff meeting (which I did not go to, another part of this interesting day).  So, you all know I a HUGE proponent of universal health care right?  Well today, Blue Cross/Blue Shield jacked up my health insurance for next year (which start July) 11.5%.  I am now paying $660 a month is health insurance.  Not only that, they increased all our co-pays by $5 except emergency room, they jacked up $25 (to $100).  Yeah that wasn’t so much fun.

What an interesting day Part III:
So this morning I spent 5 hours in district court and as a subpoenaed witness for a restraining order violation on one of my clients.  Of course, I never got called to the stand because the DA and Defending lawyer worked out a deal, but I had to sit there and wait through 15 other pre-trials first.  And the judge we had was doing two courtrooms cause the other judge was running late.  So I got sit around court and listen to main Assault and Battery and DUI cases, all basically getting plead out.

The weirdest part of the days cases was a animal cruelty one.  Evidently this homey tossed a cat dog out of his speeding SUV to tick off his girlfriend.  The dog wasn’t even injured, but there were a ton of witnesses who got his license plate.  He also plead out, but the strange part was, he was only one who got jail time.  Animal cruelty I guess in MA is a felony and carries a minimum 6 month sentence.  So he was sentenced to Federal Prison for 6 months for a dog, he did not even hurt.  It was also his first offense.

So all these Assault and Battery cases, not one got anything more than a suspended sentence, most got probation.  So what is the moral?  You can beat the crap out of anyone to want it seems and only get probation, touch his dog, and you going to the slammer.

I suppose I would want to go this way too, on live TV in fact.   Of course they still think it is 1885 out in Utah anyway.

My Interesting Day Part IV:
So just as I am leaving court today, I get a text from my wife stating, that there was a wild turkey in our yard.  Now, we get wildlife out here.  I live in the suburbs, but in a wooded area.  I have seen rabbits, possum, raccoons, deer, skunk, stuff like that.  Never a wild Turkey.  And it was a huge Tom.  So I told her to club over the head and cook it for dinner.  She said no, she was too scared of it and ran in the house, like it was a Emu or something.  I told to take a picture, but by the time she got camera it had hopped over the fence and disappeared.

Some deaths
First and foremost, Lean Horne passed away at 92 Sunday night.  Lena Horne was an amazing singer, also an actress, and beautiful, the original Halle Berry.   She was also a huge civil rights icon, being the first black to sign a major studio contact in 1942.  RIP in peace Lena Horne.

In addition Legendary Fantasy Artist, Frank Frazetta also passed away today.  Frazetta was a huge influence on comic book art.  RIP to them both

KMP Softball Update
After our first loss of the season, we got back into form, beating the Sand Demons 11 – 3.  Some excellent pitching by myself along with some big time defense, shut down a pretty good offensive team.  We started slow with the bats, but kicked it up a notch in the late innings.   I went 2 – 3, with my first extra base hit, a double even on my sore ankle; ankle is feeling better thought, I pulled myself for a pinch runner whenever I reached base.
